What is Snohomish County Search and Rescue?
Snohomish County Search and Rescue: Snohomish County Volunteer Search and Rescue (SCVSAR) was created in 1958 although not formally incorporated to Washington State until the summer of 1967. There are over 300 active members of SCVSAR who are in the Units of either Marysville (MSAR), Snohomish (SSAR), Alderwood (ASAR), Explorer (ESAR) and Everett (EMRU). These members come from all walks of life who decided to dedicate their lives to saving those missing of Washington. The SCVSAR K9 Team has around 20 Search and Rescue K9s that are certified or in training to discipline in either Trailing, Airscent, or HRD. There are 25 human members who are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year!
